More than twenty years on the international stage
There is something special about opening a door you have built yourself. In August 2026, Marianne Jensen stood in the doorway of Toldbodgade 55 and welcomed guests to what she calls her biggest dream: MJ Studio.
Marianne has spent more than 20 years shaping the hairdressing profession on the international stage. She has been behind the hair at fashion weeks in New York, Paris, London and Copenhagen, and her name is associated with Helena Christensen, Antonio Banderas and Justin Bieber, as well as musicians such as Pernille Rosendahl, Sharin Foo and Oh Land. Alongside her own studio, she is now Lead Hair Artist for KAO Nordic.
A place built on time, presence and uncompromising craftsmanship, where you don't just get your hair done, but leave feeling seen, understood and at your most confident.

The hairdressers at MJ Studio and their specialisms
Behind the counter at MJ Studio is a team Marianne has assembled herself, and what makes it special is the combination of international experience and sharply defined specialisms. Linh Nguyen has a passion for long hair and a natural look, covering cuts, makeup and bridal bookings. Mia Pelch is trained as a hairdresser, cosmetologist and makeup artist, with a particular fondness for balayage and extensions. Lulu Fischer specialises in bespoke hair colours and colour corrections, refined through her work at Copenhagen Fashion Week. And Ayoe, known for her editorial work in Vogue Scandinavia, Elle and Costume, is passionate about curls and natural texture, and published her own photo book, FUTURE, in 2026. Together, the five cover a range that is rarely found under one roof: from the most editorial fashion background to the most personal, bespoke treatment.
Opening night in pictures
The celebration of MJ Studio's opening brought together friends, family and industry professionals in the new premises on Toldbodgade.
