Solida Furniture salon furniture with a focus on comfort and ergonomics

Are you looking for a washing unit, salon stool or saddle stool designed with extra focus on comfort? Solida Furniture combines Danish design thinking with Italian craftsmanship, and we have helped adapt several of the models to better suit a busy salon environment. Here you’ll find the Fredda washing unit with massage, the Rolio salon stool, the Stella saddle stool, as well as accessories and spare parts.

Guide: How to choose the right Solida Furniture piece

The range covers different needs in the salon. Here are the most important things to consider before you choose.

1. What type of furniture are you missing?

Solida Furniture covers three different needs in the salon. If the client needs to have their hair washed, Fredda is the solution, with a built-in massage function in the back, seat and leg rest. If you need a salon stool for everyday work, Rolio is the simple, reliable model. If you want a saddle stool that actively supports your back through long working days, Stella is worth a closer look. The three ranges each solve a different problem, so the first question is where in the salon you are missing something.

2. Do you prioritise comfort and ergonomics?

Several Solida Furniture models have been adapted with extra focus on comfort. Fredda has angled, extra-low armrests, allowing the client to rest their arms naturally throughout the treatment without tensing their shoulders. Stella has a sharper curve in the seat than a standard saddle stool, designed to give your back the correct posture when you sit on it hour after hour. If ergonomics are a priority, both for the client in the washing unit and for you in the salon stool, it is worth taking a closer look at these two details before choosing a model.

3. Colour and upholstery

Fredda is available in a range of colours, including black, green, brown, beige and brick red, and can be combined with either a white or black basin. Stella is available with black, aluminium, brown or beige upholstery, and selected models are also available with a leopard pattern if you want a more distinctive look. Choose a colour that complements the rest of your salon’s interior, or use it to create a deliberate contrast, such as a striking saddle stool against an otherwise neutral background.

4. Castors or fixed legs?

Both Rolio and Stella are available with standard legs or castors. Castors make it easy to move the chair between stations or out of the way when cleaning, which is practical in smaller salons where the space is used for several purposes throughout the day. Fixed legs provide a more stable feel if the chair usually stays in the same place. If you have a permanent station that you rarely change, fixed legs are often the simplest choice, while castors provide more flexibility if you rearrange the salon regularly.

5. Spare parts and accessories

For the Fredda washing units, you can purchase spare parts such as a remote control, drainpipe, chrome mixer and showerhead separately, so you don’t have to replace the entire washing unit if a single part breaks or becomes worn. Covero is a leg rest cover that protects Fredda’s leg rest from everyday wear. Being able to buy spare parts for a furniture range that is several years old is a good indication that the manufacturer continues to support the model, rather than simply selling it until it is replaced by a newer range.

6. Budget

Prices vary widely within the Solida Furniture range, from the more affordable Rolio salon stools to the premium, fully equipped Fredda washing units with massage. Because the brand is popular, we often purchase large batches at a time and pass the savings on to you. If you are furnishing an entire salon, it may therefore be worth asking whether we currently have a special offer on a particular batch before you place your order.

Popular Solida Furniture products

Fredda in black with a white basin is the most popular washing unit with massage, but it is also available in green, brown, beige and brick red for salons that want a more distinctive colour choice. Rolio with a chrome frame and castors is the most popular salon stool in the range because it is easy to move between stations. Stella with black upholstery and castors is the standard choice among the saddle stools, while the leopard and cognac versions are chosen by salons that want a more distinctive design expression.

Fredda washing units with massage

Fredda is Solida Furniture’s washing unit with massage, with a built-in massage function in the back, seat and all the way down to the leg rest. It is designed with angled, extra-low armrests, allowing the client to rest their arms naturally throughout the treatment. You can choose between eight colour combinations, including black, green, brown, beige and brick red, with either a white or black basin. For selected models, you can choose between a full version with backrest, seat and leg rest, or a simpler version with a backrest only.

Rolio salon stools

Rolio is a classic salon stool with a small seat and soft backrest, designed for use in a professional salon throughout the day. It is available with a chrome or black frame, and you can choose between standard legs or castors, depending on whether you want stability or flexibility in the styling area. Rolio is the more budget-friendly part of the range without compromising on everyday durability.

Stella saddle stools

Stella is a saddle stool with a small seat and a sharper curve than a standard saddle stool. The curve is designed to give your back the correct posture when you sit on the stool for long periods at a time. It is available with an aluminium or black frame, with black, brown, beige or leopard-pattern upholstery, and with either standard legs or castors.

Accessories and spare parts

In addition to the furniture itself, you can get spare parts and accessories for Solida Furniture. The remote control for Fredda operates the massage function, while the drainpipe, chrome mixer and chrome showerhead are the parts that typically experience the most wear on a washing unit used every day. Hårsi is a chrome grate with rubber that sits in the basin itself. Covero is a leg rest cover that protects Fredda’s leg rest from daily wear, so you don’t have to replace the entire leg rest. Keeping these parts in stock makes it faster to repair a washing unit if something breaks, rather than having to wait for a completely new one.

Why choose Solida Furniture from Just Add People?

Solida Furniture combines Danish design thinking with Italian craftsmanship. We have helped adapt and fine-tune several of the models to better suit comfort and ergonomics in a busy salon. This is one of the reasons Fredda has its low armrests and Stella its supportive curve. Everything is produced in Italy to a quality built for professional, everyday use.

You get the same four fixed benefits, regardless of which Solida Furniture product you choose:

  • Price match: We are happy to match the price of an item, so you always get the best price.
  • Fast shipping: No hidden fees or delivery costs associated with your order.

Because Solida Furniture is so popular, we often purchase large batches and pass the savings on to you. You can experience the furniture in our showroom, where you can sit in Fredda, Rolio and Stella and feel the difference for yourself. Frequently asked questions about Solida Furniture

What makes Solida Furniture different from other furniture ranges?

Several Solida Furniture models have been adapted with a specific focus on comfort and ergonomics. The Fredda washing unit with massage has angled, extra-low armrests, allowing the client to rest their arms naturally during the treatment, while the Stella saddle stool has a sharper curve in the seat than a standard saddle stool, designed to give your back the correct posture when you sit on it for long periods. The furniture is produced in Italy and combines Danish design thinking with Italian craftsmanship, which can be felt in details such as the finish of the upholstery and the durability of the frames.

Can I choose custom upholstery for Fredda or Stella?

Both ranges are available in several colours and upholstery options that you can choose directly from the range, from classic black to more distinctive choices such as brick red or leopard pattern. If you would like a combination that is not part of the standard range, you can contact us, and we will investigate the options. Please note that made-to-order items and products customised specifically for you are exempt from the general 14-day right of return, so it is a good idea to view the colours in our showroom before ordering anything customised.

What is the difference between Rolio and Stella?

Rolio is a classic salon stool with a soft backrest, while Stella is a saddle stool without a backrest, where the curve of the seat actively supports your back instead. With Rolio, you sit as you would in a standard chair with support for your back. With Stella, you sit more upright, with your legs naturally spread as on a saddle, which many hairdressers find gentler on the back during long working days. If you are unsure what suits you, it is worth trying both types in our showroom before choosing.

How long does a Fredda washing unit with massage last?

Fredda is built for professional, everyday use, and we have access to the spare parts that typically wear out first, such as the drainpipe, mixer, showerhead and leg rest cover. This means you can repair individual parts instead of replacing the entire washing unit if something breaks or becomes worn after several years of use. How long a washing unit actually lasts depends greatly on how many treatments it is used for each day, but access to spare parts means you can significantly extend its lifespan compared with furniture where you have to replace everything at once.

What warranty does Solida Furniture come with?

You get at least a 2-year warranty on all furniture and equipment you purchase from us, including Solida Furniture. The warranty covers manufacturing defects in the massage function, frame and upholstery. If something breaks within the warranty period without being due to normal wear and tear, we will arrange a repair or replacement. Please note that our general 14-day right of return does not cover made-to-order items or products customised specifically for your order, so always check the product page if you are unsure whether a purchase can be returned.

Can I see Solida Furniture before I buy?

Yes. We have Fredda, Rolio and Stella on display in our showroom, where you can sit in the chairs, test the massage function and feel the upholstery before making your decision. This is especially valuable for Stella because the saddle shape feels different from a standard salon stool, and that difference is difficult to judge from pictures alone. You only experience the supportive curve when you actually sit on it. The visit is free and without obligation, and you can also see how the furniture looks together with the rest of our range before making your decision.
